RONG GUO

Born in Shanghai where she completed her artistic studies, Rong Guo came to France in 2008 in order to perfect her techniques in engraving and painting, where she has lived till now . Apart from a joy of life, humor also emanates from her creative compositions in which her inventiveness is revealed. Young women, seated or standing, seeming to perform a lively dance, bury their faces under a profusion of unusual elements assembled in a sometimes dizzying whirlwind. There are also everyday and insignificant objects which form a frantic circle, jostling, overlappping. Hidden beneath these cheerful-looking aura, however, it seems that, the repetitive weight of life and the load to be supported are overwhelming at times that we no longer want to see.

Rong Guo asserts herself as an excellent designer. She skillfully multiplies different lines, merges light with shadow, and depicts bodies with precision without excess. She offers her characters a real freedom that stands out from the whole if one observes the works attentively.
